Aim-listed Botswana Diamonds (BOD) has discovered a second 6 ha anomaly close to a prior 12 ha anomaly announced in January, with the drilling of five holes to start once an environmental-impact assessment has been completed.

The new kimberlite targets have the potential to upgrade the existing resources in the area, including at the Gaghoo mine, which is currently under care and maintenance.

The two anomalies are close to BOD’s KX36 project, in the Kalahari, which is 3.5 ha in size and currently has resources of just under 18-million tonnes grading 35 carats per hundred tonnes (cpht) in the indicated category, and 6.7-million tonnes of resources grading 36 cpht in the inferred category.
