BOGE raising the bar for energy efficiency in low-pressure systems
OIL FREE With 100% oil-free compressed air, the Low Pressure Turbo 150 compressor is particularly suitable for use in sensitive areas
German compressed air specialist BOGE is setting new standards for continuous energy efficient supply with its new Low Pressure Turbo 150 compressor, which it says offers some of the best energy efficiency values at an operating pressure of up to 4 bar.
The company states that the technical coordination of the permanent magnet motor, air-guided drive shaft and two-stage compressor system have raised the bar for energy efficiency in the low-pressure field.
BOGE explains that a frequency converter adapts the compressor to the compressed air requirement. The entire drive mechanism also works without a single drop of oil and, as such, oil-free Class 0 compressed air is produced.
“The technology is particularly wear-free and low-maintenance – there is no requirement for regular oil and filter changes,” says BOGE Southern Africa distributor SA Compressor Services director Guy Wilson. The compact design of the machine also means that it requires less space than comparable screw compressors and the turbo technology is quieter than oil-free screw compressors.
Its oil-free status makes the compressor particularly suitable for sensitive areas of use, he states.
BOGE also runs a continuous improvement programme, which analyses machine data and identifies energy-saving possibilities, ensuring that the machine remains constantly state-of-the-art.
“There is no requirement for investment in product optimisation. The customer and BOGE share the energy savings instead. The result is decreasing operating costs and production that is highly efficient in terms of energy at all times,” the Bielefeld-based company states.
SA Compressor Services, the Southern Africa distributor for BOGE, will be exhibiting at Electra Mining Africa, where the German group’s high-speed turbo compressors and smart glasses technology will be launched onto the South African market.
Wilson says the group’s high-speed compressors are manufactured at a smart factory at the BOGE head office in Germany.
