Aim-listed ECR Minerals has appointed an experienced team to start with initial mining at the Raglan alluvial gold project, in Queensland, Australia, with first production expected before the end of January.

The Raglan project is poised to provide early cash flow, which will support ECR’s larger nearby Blue Mountain project and the wider Queensland portfolio.

ECR recently acquired the Raglan project and installed a new 60 t/h wash plant, a fully equipped gold room, water supply infrastructure, an accommodation camp and a mobile mining fleet.

With the Raglan project being located close the Blue Mountain, which is another alluvial project, it enables operational synergies for the company in its growing Queensland hub.

Securing the operating team was a major final step to bring the Raglan project into production, with ECR now being able to set a clear expectation for initial gold production at the end of January.

“The Raglan project gives us a low capital expenditure, near-term route into gold production, and the revenues which we ultimately anticipate should be able to support the development of our broader Queensland portfolio,” says chairperson Nick Tulloch.

“With current gold prices sitting at historically high levels, the Raglan project has the potential to be a profitable project, generating meaningful cash flow in due course that can be reinvested across the business.

"We entered 2026 with confidence and a clear operational plan. I look forward to updating shareholders as we move into production and begin generating cash flow for the first time in ECR's history."
