Financiers, Thought Leaders and Practitioners Unpack Infrastructure Developments in Southern Africa

Second edition of the International Infrastructure & Invest Convention to focus on exploring home-grown solutions for Africa’s infrastructure challenges. One of the sectors most dependent on infrastructure developments in Africa continues to be the extractive industries. In order to attract increased private investment into these sectors, their downstream industries as well as other manufacturing activity, high costs of doing business in and between African economies need to be addressed through adequate and reliable transport, power and water infrastructure.
Under the theme “African Solutions for African Challenges” the second edition of the International Infrastructure & Invest Convention 2014 will analyse current plans, project developments and progress, as well as the outlook for the region’s transport, power and water infrastructure sectors.
Organised by Deutsche Messe AG and the Southern African-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry in cooperation with Frontier Advisory, IIIC 2014 will be held on 16-17 September 2014 at the Expo Centre (Nasrec) in Johannesburg. As an official conference of Electra Mining Africa, the biggest mining exhibition in Africa with more than 850 exhibitors and over 44,000 visitors, IIIC delegates may participate in pre-arranged sector-specific guided tours at the Electra Mining exhibition.
Joining the IIIC programme as distinguished speakers in 2014 are: Hon.
