JAKARTA - Indonesia is studying a plan to ban the export of more raw materials in the coming years, including tin, its energy minister said on Friday as it bids to boost its domestic processing industries.

Indonesia has already banned exports of several raw minerals including nickel ore, bauxite and copper concentrate to attract investment in domestic processing and export higher value products.

"Last year we have banned bauxite exports and in the coming years, we are studying to ban a number of other commodities including tin," Bahlil Lahadalia told an economic forum attended by international agencies.

"We should no longer export raw materials," he added.

He encouraged investors to invest more in Indonesia's processing industry.
