Innovative Learning Solutions - Transport, logistics & training sector

ARNOUX MARÉ Businesses have come to appreciate the value that well-trained drivers add to their organisations
Year of Formation and Background to Founding:
Innovative Learning Solutions (ILS) was established in June 2020 to address the lack of Code 14 Superlink truck driving competency identified by its sister company, Innovative Staffing Solutions before the onset of the global pandemic. ILS is part of the Innovation Solutions Group.
According to founder and CEO, Arnoux Maré, “Covid-19 changed many people’s views on the importance of road logistics, businesses have really come to appreciate the value that well-trained drivers add to their organisations, whether they have their own fleets, or use the services of a logistics provider”.
Ultimately, ILS was established to give drivers and their employers access to training, development and career support, and to make our roads safer while adding tangible value to the companies that employ them and, hopefully, fund their course attendance at ILS.
Company Mission, Products & Services:
ILS has swiftly become the largest driver training facility of its kind in Africa, with a focus on upskilling drivers to be the best on the road. ILS provides accredited, cost-effective and efficient training solutions to raise driver employability levels, mitigate road accidents and enhance productivity for its clients.
Based in Gauteng’s industrial region of Boksburg East, in Ekurhuleni, ILS currently offers training to Code 14 Superlink truck drivers. ILS has designed a full range of intensive, practical, Transport Education Training Authority- certified learning experiences for drivers that dramatically improve their abilities, while giving their employers the peace of mind that their staff and freight are safe.
Through accredited courses, ILS also aims to elevate unemployed drivers’ CVs ensuring they compete for better employment opportunities. We bolster their CVs with additional supporting documents including assessments such as background checks on candidates, full medical exams, and polygraphs, while also equipping drivers with soft skills such as computer skills, basic communication and interview skills, safety principles and fuel management, among others.
The centre also aims to offer a far more expansive offering, and ILS will soon offer more variety of courses suitable not only for drivers, but logistics employees across the board. Certificate qualifications for Professional Driving will be available for Code 8 and Code 10, including the current Superlink training.
Current Shareholders: Arnoux Maré
Number of People Employed:
15, including management, admin and driver trainers. We have also created employment opportunities through our Group for numerous drivers.
Greatest Corporate Achievement:
Launching our centre during the pandemic, growing our offering every day and, most importantly, training over
8 000 drivers.
Hope for the Future: Ultimately, we would like to see even more growth. More corporate sign-ups by companies looking to test and train their drivers and logistics staff more frequently, as well as sponsored learnerships and grants that allow us to upskill more drivers. And, lastly, to continue to increase our range of skills programmes, providing clients with a far more expansive offering.
