Copper producer Jubilee Metals has announced that Nicholas Taylor has resigned from his position as nonexecutive director, with immediate effect.

Taylor, who was appointed to the board in 2020, served as chair of the audit and risk committee and was a member of the remuneration committee. He also previously served as a member of the safety and sustainability committee.

Jubilee stated that new appointments to these committees would be made in due course, including the appointment of a new chair of the audit and risk committee.

"On behalf of the board, I would like to thank [Taylor] for his more than five years of service and wish him well with his future endeavours. He has provided valuable input on numerous matters as a member of various committees during his time with the company," Jubilee chairperson Dr Mathews Phosa said on January 23.

The company did not provide a reason for the resignation and said the changes to committee leadership and membership would be addressed through future board appointments.
