Name of the Project
Manna lithium project.

Location
Western Australia’s Easter Goldfields.

Project Owner/s
Critical minerals company Global Lithium Resources (GL1).

Project Description
In June 2024, GL1 delivered an updated mineral resources estimate, which increased the Manna deposit Joint Ore Reserves Committee-compliant resource by 43%, to 51.6-million tonnes at 1% lithium oxide.

The company is progressing its definitive feasibility study (DFS) for the project, which will incorporate an updated mineral resource estimate, detailed mine schedule, metallurgical and process flowsheet testwork results, as well as detailed operating and capital costs, among other key work streams.

Potential Job Creation
Not stated.

Net Present Value/Internal Rate of Return
The February 2025 scoping study has estimated a pretax net present value, at an 8% discount rate, of A$2.8-billion and an internal rate of return of 103%, with a payback of 15 months after first production.

Capital Expenditure
The scoping study estimated direct capital costs of A$299.4-million.

Planned Start/End Date
First spodumene concentrate targeted for production in 2026.

Latest Developments
GL1 has secured a 21-year mining lease.

The approval, granted by the State’s Mines, Petroleum and Exploration Minister under the Mining Act, follows after the company signed a Native Title Mining Agreement with the Kakarra Part B Native Title Group.

The lease significantly derisks the project and accelerates its progress towards a final investment decision, which remains on track for the end of 2025, following the optimisation of a definitive feasibility study (DFS).

MD Dianmin Chen has said GL1 is fully focused on finalising the optimised DFS and pursuing discussions with potential development partners.

Key Contracts, Suppliers and Consultants
None stated.
