Copper company New World on Tuesday announced the appointment of a COO and CFO as it continued to build out its senior leadership team to drive the development of its Antler copper project, in Arizona, US.

Kyle Lindahl, based in the US, has been promoted from VP of project development to COO with the responsibility of leading the development of the Antler project.

Warwick Amos, who is based in Australia, has been appointed CFO to lead financial operations, project financing and corporate development functions.

Pat Siglin, based in the US, is the new VP of exploration. He was previously the company’s exploration manager.

“With these key appointments, New World has now assembled a highly experienced and capable management team to drive the Antler copper project through financing, final permitting, development and construction and into operations. Kyle, Warwick, and Pat each bring deep expertise in their respective fields and, together, they provide the leadership we need to successfully advance Antler from development through to production,” said MD Nick Woolrych.

“Their combined experience in project execution, finance, and exploration positions us strongly to deliver long-term value for our stakeholders and establish Antler as a significant new source of copper in the US,” he added.

Located in northern Arizona, the Antler project is about 200 km south-east of Las Vegas and 350 km north-west of Phoenix. A prefeasibility study completed in July 2024 outlined plans for an underground mining operation, processing plant, pastefill plant, and a fully lined dry-stack tailings storage facility.

The project proposes the development of a 1.2-million-tonne-a-year underground operation with a 12.2-year life, comprising 13.6-million tonnes at 1.6% copper, 3.7% zinc, 0.6% lead, 24.5 g/t silver and 0.26 g/t gold.

About 341 100 t of copper-equivalent metal will be payable over the life-of-mine, or 30 100 t copper equivalent a year.
