Project Description
A prefeasibility study (PFS) on the project has proven positive.

The project comprises Nickel Creeks’ core nickel/copper/cobalt/platinum group metals (PGMs) Wellgreen deposit, as well as the Arch, Burwash, Formula, Musk and Quill claims.

The PFS proposes an openpit mine using conventional openpit mining methods, with a life-of-mine (LoM) of more than 19 years.

Average LoM concentrates production is expected to be 103 100 t/y of bulk nickel/copper/cobalt/PGMs, 95 000 t/y of nickel concentrate and 19 600 t/y of copper concentrate.

Total LoM payable metal production includes: 614.3-million pounds of nickel, 281.5-million pounds of copper, 21.5-million pounds of cobalt, 626 500 troy ounces of platinum, 743 400 troy ounces of palladium and 174 400 troy ounces of gold. The tailings will be stored in a tailings storage facility adjacent to the concentrator.

Concentrate would be transported by truck 480 km to the Port of Skagway ore terminal.

Power will be primarily sourced from a liquified natural gas power plant.
