ASX-listed Native Mineral Resources (NMR) is progressing its restart activities at the Blackjack processing plant and Charters Towers assets in north Queensland, targeting its first gold pour in the third quarter of the 2025 calendar year.

The company is making coordinated advancements across key aspects of the project, including site establishment, mining studies, environmental approvals, and plant refurbishment.

MD Blake Cannavo stated that the strong momentum reflected the depth of planning and capability within the project team and partners.

NMR has submitted the estimated rehabilitation cost (ERC) application and is working on amending its environmental authority with external consultants. Regulatory payments to the Department of Resources and the Department of Environment will be finalised by the end of March. All tenement and lease renewals have been submitted on time, demonstrating strong compliance and governance.

The company has engaged ATC Williams to design and construct the tailings storage facility (TSF) bund wall and wall lift, with pre-construction and geotechnical investigations beginning shortly. Vegetation clearing on the TSF site is set to begin next week, keeping site development aligned with the project schedule. A high-resolution LiDAR survey has been completed, providing essential data for TSF development, mine design, and environmental assessments.

Refurbishment of the Blackjack processing plant is progressing well. A structural audit conducted by Ausenco found no critical issues, with a final report expected by the end of the month.
