Despite the initial optimism associated with the political changes that took place in early 2018, the business community has been reticent to take decisive investment decisions in South Africa until after the elections. With those now finally behind us – along with a public-holiday cycle that knocks business activity every year between the end of March and the beginning of May – perhaps we will, at last, begin to see business rolling up its collective sleeves and getting this economy working again. Too soon?
