TFR starts repairs on iron-ore rail line following derailment

The iron-ore corridor rail line, in the Northern Cape, that had to be closed after a derailment on June 5 has been cleared and Transnet Freight Rail (TFR) has started with the necessary repairs.

TFR expects the repairs to be concluded by 16:00 on June 8.

An investigation into the cause of the derailment is still under way.
