Date and place of birth: 16 December 1986, China.
Education: In 2006, I studied Finance at the University of Cape Town earning a Bachelors degree in Business Science in 2010.
Management style: The coaching style. It is a win-win situation where both parties benefit from the outcome. I always identify opportunities for my team. I find that when you grant your people the opportunity to flourish in their roles without dictating, it also leads the business to the next level.
Personal best achievement: Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa, back in 2014. Another one of my best achievements is the success of ABC Solar. From starting up as a minute team to becoming the industry leaders in renewable energy in just a year.
Person you would most like to meet: Facebook COO Sheryl Sanberg. She is the former VP of Google and author of the book “Lean In: Women, Work and the Will to Lead” which encourages women to assert themselves both at home and at work.
Philosophy of life: Work-life balance. I believe in a well-balanced life between family, friends, career and yourself.
Message for other women leaders: Determination and mindset will take you to the next level. Have your own voice, set the goal and have the courage to go get it! Do not be afraid to take credit for your work, do not doubt yourself and never be afraid to ask for help.
