A rebranded WEG set to make powerful debut at Electra Mining Africa
For over four decades, WEG has established a formidable presence in Africa, consistently showcasing its industry-leading capabilities at Electra Mining Africa under the Zest WEG brand. This year, WEG is set to make a powerful debut with a renewed focus on innovation and sustainability.
WEG’s commitment is to a more efficient and sustainable future, with technologies designed to reduce energy consumption and carbon footprints, supporting our customers’ decarbonisation projects. At this year’s Electra Mining Africa, the company will present its latest advancements in hybrid power solutions, renewable energy, energy storage, and premium efficiency electric motors and drive technology.
Visitors to the WEG stand can explore hybrid power solutions including solar, wind, gas, diesel- powered options and battery energy storage systems. These technologies ensure a continuous, stable and reliable energy supply, sup- ported by WEG’s extensive reference base in Brazil and globally. The WEG team will be available to discuss the company’s sustain- able energy solutions and expertise.
On display will be the WEG W23+ Ultra IE6 and WEG W22 IE4 electric motors, offering reduced operating costs, lower noise levels and increased reliability. Another high- light is the WEG MTW05 medium voltage switchgear, locally assembled and tested in South Africa, designed to meet stringent standards and adaptable to market requirements.
WEG will use the exhibition to engage visitors on its WEGSEE+ platform, which calculates potenRed Zone Stand P01tial energy savings by replacing motors, gearboxes and inverters, providing valuable data for optimising resources and measuring return on investment and greenhouse gas emissions reduction.
With a legacy of excellence and a forward-looking approach, WEG is set to make a significant impact at Electra Mining Africa.
