Alcohol Breathalysers to expand service, range of breathalysers
Alcohol Breathalysers director Angus MacArthur talks to Creamer Media at this year's Electra Mining. Video & Editing: Creamer Media's Nicholas Boyd.
Alcohol testing equipment supplier Alcohol Breathalysers Pty Ltd says that it will remain focused on expanding its service & range of breathalysers into new African markets, as well as improve turnaround times for servicing its existing customer base.
The company is cautiously optimistic about this approach, explains director Angus MacArthur, considering that even though economic activity has bounced back after the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, economic activity is now characterized by inflation, currency fluctuations and fuel price hikes, which “creates volatility and puts pressure on business, industry and consumers”.
However, this does not mean that one should reduce or delay testing one’s employees & drivers’ breath for alcohol, he notes, as breathalyser equipment plays a key role in ensuring safety in operations, driving and working environments for employees, contractors and visitors entering mines & sites at any time of the day.
Alcohol Breathalysers, who will be featuring on the Gensys Workforce Systems stand at this year’s Electra Mining Africa exhibition, have a wide range of breathalysers available, which incorporate the latest fuel cell sensor technology in equipment.
A number of its breathalysers store & transmit digital results to the Cloud & its Alcoscan Entrance Breathalyser System EBS010, which MacArthur explains is able to integrate with most access control systems via dry relay contacts or via serial communications.
The Alcoscan Entrance Breathalyser System, he adds, is also durable and versatile, as it can “fit onto almost any turnstile gate or be fitted at virtually any entrance point”.
The company supplies its breathalysers & services to a variety of industries, including mining, industry & law-enforcement and also supplies models for personal use.
