Gold producer Alkane Resources produced 43 663 oz of gold equivalent during the period from October 1 to December 31, 2025, with its three operating mines contributing to steady output and a strengthened financial position.

The company reported on January 8 that its mines – Tomingley, Costerfield and Björkdal – together delivered 42 767 oz of gold and 267 t of antimony over the quarter, which translates to 43 663 oz of gold equivalent.

Sales for the same period totalled 42 709 oz of gold and 409 t of antimony.

At the end of the quarter, Alkane’s cash, bullion and listed investments amounted to A$246-million, reflecting an increase of A$55-million from the September quarter, after the payment of the 2025 financial year income tax of A$11-million.

Alkane also received an A$18-million provisional payment in early January from a Costerfield concentrate shipment that shipped in mid-December, with receipt delayed owing to the Christmas holidays. The company remains debt free except for equipment finance of A$22-million as at December 31, 2025.

Alkane Resources confirmed its yearly guidance for the 2026 financial year, targeting production of 160 000 oz to 175 000 oz of gold equivalent at an all-in sustaining cost of A$2 600/oz to A$2 900/oz of gold equivalent.

“Alkane has had a solid quarter’s production from our three operating mines which together produced 42 767 oz of gold and 267 t of antimony (43 663 oz of gold equivalent) over the quarter. Tomingley will pour its 750 000th ounce of gold during January, a great testament to the team there.

“We have further strengthened our balance sheet over the quarter with A$246-million in cash, bullion and listed investments at quarter end,” Alkane Resources MD Nic Earner said.

During the quarter, the company also completed hedging of 8 200 oz of gold and made a 2025 financial year income tax payment of A$11-million.
