American Pacific files updated technical report for Nevada project
Canadian miner American Pacific Mining Corporation has filed an updated National Instrument 43-101 (NI43-101) for its 100%-owned Gooseberry silver and gold project, in Nevada.
The NI43-101 is a Canadian regulatory standard that sets rules for public companies to disclose scientific and technical information about mining projects.
Gooseberry is a low sulphidation, epithermal vein system encompassing the historical Gooseberry silver and gold mine.
The past-producing underground silver and gold mine operated for nearly a century between 1900 and 1990, after which mining ceased owing to low precious metals prices, with limited modern exploration work having been completed on the project since 1991.
With silver prices having surging more than 160% since the beginning of 2025, American Pacific is eager to highlight the prospectivity of the Gooseberry project.
CEO Warwick Smith says silver’s role as a critical metal in high‑tech, electrification and the broader energy transition is becoming increasingly clear, and the need for secure domestic US supply is growing.
“We are keen to surface value from Gooseberry and continue to evaluate a range of avenues to unlock that value as demand for new sources of US silver accelerates.”
Some of the latest drill results on the project includes 6.9 m of gold grading 0.91 g/t and silver grading 48.8 g/t; 4.6 m of gold grading 1.04 g/t and silver grading 127 g/t; 16.8 m of gold grading 0.26 g/t and silver grading 7 g/t; and 1.8 m of gold grading 0.62 g/t and silver grading 74 g/t.
“The Ramsey Mining District in which Gooseberry is based is clustered among some of the most famous and prolific mining districts in Nevada,” says American Pacific exploration MD Eric Saderholm.
He adds that, foremost among the state’s top districts is the historic Comstock Mining District, which is located west of the Ramsey District. The lodes and veins discovered in the Comstock District alone led to the production of 8.25-million ounces of gold and 192-million ounces of silver.
Saderholm confirms that similar structural trends have been observed within the Ramsey District, with Gooseberry promising significant opportunity for discoveries.
