Canada-based explorer American Tungsten has acquired additional mining rights at its IMA mine project, in Idaho, through the staking of 113 WMO federal lode mining claims covering an area of 804.75 ha.

The IMA mine is a past-producing underground tungsten mine situated on 22 patented claims located in east-central Idaho. Between 1945 and 1957, the property produced about 199 449 t of tungsten oxide and was subsequently explored for molybdenum and tungsten by various operators between 1960 and 2008.

“I am pleased to announce that we have claimed acquired additional mineral rights, representing approximately 805 ha,” CEO Murray Nye said. “These additional claims reinforce our footprint in Idaho and bolster the IMA mine’s land position.”
