AusIMM is thrilled to announce the return of the Application of Computers & Operations Research Conference (APCOM 2025) being held in Perth, Australia from 10—13 August 2025. Since its inception in 1964, this long-established conference series has been at the forefront of transformational research.

APCOM 2025 will bring together people working in digitally focussed mining roles from across the globe - attracting innovators, mining leaders, planning engineers, mine managers, geoscientists, operators and ESG professionals to address digitisation across the mineral supply chain.

The conference will feature the latest insights and best practice in operational research and technological advancements. Key themes will include digitalisation in Exploration and Geology, Mine Planning and Operations, Advanced Technologies, Sustainable Practices, and Investment and Risk Management. Attendees will also have the opportunity to attend pre-conference workshops, a world-class exhibition, networking events and hear from leading experts from the global minerals industry.

The 2025 APCOM committee is now inviting abstract submissions for presentation at the conference. Share your leading insights, innovative research or best practice examples in operational research and the application of technology.
