Aramine announces participation in Bauma 2025 & showcases groundbreaking innovations
Aramine, a global leader in underground mining equipment, proudly celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, announces its participation in Bauma 2025, the world's leading trade fair for construction and mining machinery. As a key player in the industry, Aramine continues to push the boundaries of innovation, offering cutting-edge solutions tailored to the unique challenges of underground mining operations.
Pioneering battery-powered solutions: the L440B loader
At Bauma 2025, Aramine will highlight its latest innovation, the L440B, a revolutionary battery-powered loader set to redefine underground mining operations. Several units of this breakthrough machine are already en route to their first customers worldwide, marking a major milestone in the industry. The L440B is the only battery-powered loader that does not require fixed infrastructure for charging inside the mine. Instead, it features an integrated charger, allowing it to recharge anywhere, without the need for costly or complex installations.
In an industry where underground conditions are demanding, Aramine's approach contrasts with competitors relying on fast-charging solutions or costly battery-swapping systems. The L440B is designed with slow-charging technology and an ultra-fast battery swap system, ensuring seamless integration into mining operations while avoiding infrastructure challenges. The “Energy Module”—a fully integrated power unit—was developed to withstand underground conditions such as temperature extremes, impacts, and corrosion. With LFP battery technology, Aramine ensures safety and reliability while eliminating the risks of other chemistries.
Building on the success of the L140B, introduced in 2016, the L440B underscores Aramine’s commitment to sustainable and practical innovation. With order books for 2025 and 2026 full, demand for this machine highlights the industry’s confidence in Aramine’s approach to battery technology.
Expanding global distribution network
To support its exponential sales growth, Aramine is accelerating the development of its global distribution partnerships in 2025. With 450 machines currently in operation and a double-digit annual growth rate, the company is strategically expanding its network to better serve its clients worldwide.
To be ever closer to its customers, Aramine is expanding its international network and relying on its distributors and subsidiaries who know their local markets inside out. The French company now has 80 distributors on 5 continents, 3 subsidiaries, and achieves 54% of its turnover through indirect sales.
To keep up with the significant and exponential order growth in the coming years, Aramine is building a new factory in the south of France, not far from its two current locations. This is no coincidence: the factory will be located on a former mining site.
Several joint ventures are in the pipeline, ensuring that Aramine remains at the forefront of underground mining solutions while maintaining the agility needed for substantial business growth.
Unprecedented success of Aramine’s e-commerce platform
Under its brand Smartparts®, Aramine provides genuine spare parts and components for underground mining loaders, mining trucks, underground drillrigs and bolters. With an extensive catalog of 1.5 million items, the company offers competitive pricing and fast global delivery.
Aramine supplies Genuine quality and Genuine suppliers multi-brand spare parts and components available new or remanufactured, covering all the essential for underground machines, including axles, engines, converters, gearboxes, rockdrills, hydraulic components, transmissions, differentials, and brakes.
In 2022, this key division, representing half of Aramine’s sales, embraced digital transformation with the launch of shop.aramine.com, simplifying and accelerating the ordering process.
As the first multi-brand online platform dedicated to spare parts, the e-shop has seen exponential growth, fueled primarily by word-of-mouth. With triple-digit growth rates, Aramine expects this momentum to continue in the coming months and years.
To support this rapid expansion, Aramine is further enhancing its fully automated distribution center by integrating additional Kardex storage systems at its main warehouse in southern France. This investment will optimize inventory management, ensuring even faster and more reliable service for customers worldwide.
Sustainability at the core
True to its founding commitments, Aramine continues to expand its CSR initiatives. Beyond developing increasingly eco-friendly machines, the company invests in renewable energy projects, equipping its factories with solar panels and providing customers with a solar station to power its battery-operated machines. Additionally, the company remains dedicated to its historic remanufacturing program, giving a second life to mining equipment. Recognising that a company thrives through its people, Aramine also prioritizes workplace well-being, fostering a positive environment for its multicultural teams.
Despite facing global crises such as the COVID-19 pandemic and geopolitical disruptions like the war in Ukraine, Aramine has successfully navigated these challenges by investing in ambitious, forward-thinking projects. This resilience has paved the way for strong future growth and exciting new opportunities in the underground mining sector.
