ASX-listed battery metals-focused company Askari Metals has appointed CPS Capital Group as a strategic capital markets adviser to the company for 12 months.

CPS has experience in the global mining sector and has successfully led financings for several highly successful mining, exploration and development companies with assets in Australia and other regions.

Askari says CPS will assist it with engaging new and existing investors to advance the company’s African exploration strategy.

In return, Askari will issue CPS or its nominee A$90 000 worth of ordinary Askari shares.

“We are delighted to appoint CPS Capital as the company’s capital markets strategic advisor. CPS shares our vision for the company to become a disciplined and focused African explorer,” says Askari executive director Gino D’Anna.

He adds that the company is advancing its transition strategy focused on maximising value from its existing asset portfolio and creating value through high-impact acquisitions.

Askari is evaluating a number of advanced African exploration projects and, with the strategic alliance with CPS, will be able to extend its corporate reach.

Askari owns the Uis lithium project, in Namibia, as well as a portfolio of lithium, rare earth and copper/gold projects in Western Australia, the Northern Territory and New South Wales.

Askari’s Uis project is along strike of Andrada Mining’s operating Uis tin mine.
