Aim-listed Botswana Diamonds has applied for 11 prospecting licences to secure key polymetallic targets identified by the company’s recent AI-driven exploration programme in Botswana.

The prospecting licences applied for include copper, silver, cobalt, gold, nickel, zinc and platinum group metal targets.

The comprehensive country-wide AI exploration programme in Botswana, where the initial focus was on diamonds, was expanded to look for hidden polymetallic deposits.

“Our comprehensive, country-wide AI driven exploration programme in Botswana initially focused on diamonds. During the initial analysis of the big database, it became clear that the AI technology could be used to identify other unknown mineral opportunities.

“Our analysis so far has identified a series of targets in copper, cobalt, zinc and gold. We have applied for 11 prospecting licences, and I am pleased to report that the applications have been accepted,” says chairperson John Teeling
