The ability to identity a customer’s bottom line requirements, and to provide a fit-for-purpose project package, is what valves company Floval Control Valves focuses on.

Since its foundation, the company has mainly concentrated on tendering for and executing project orders for control valves, achieving a “good degree of success” in this field owing to the inherent technical and sales expertise of its staff.

Floval is involved in a broad cross-section of industry, including mining, minerals processing, power generation, iron and steel, and water treatment.

Floval was formed in 1988 to manufacture a range of multi-function control valves for liquid applications, including pressure reducing, pressure relief and sustaining, level control, deluge control and solenoid-operated isolation valve systems.

In particular, the company highlights that its Phoenix MFC valve is ideal for industrial, mining, municipal, irrigation and fire protection applications.

The valve can be installed in any position enabling its use in various applications.

The Phoenix MFC valve can be controlled by the line media pressure, or if this is unsuitable, by an external separate hydraulic or pneumatic pressure source equal to or greater than the line pressure. The controlled media would then only contact the internals of the valve body and the bottom surface of the diaphragm.

The Phoenix MFC valve has been manufactured and supplied in response to demand for simplicity, versatility and reliability.

In terms of simplicity, the valve has a direct sealing diaphragm valve which consists of only three main parts: body, bonnet and diaphragm; while in terms of versatility, the valve is designed to withstand heavy duty conditions with the capability of providing for flow control applications.

As for reliability, the Phoenix MFC valve contains no shafts, seals or guiding bearings which could be corroded or eroded by dirty, abrasive or chemically-contaminated media.
