Mechanical seals, rotating and engineering protection, and sealing equipment supplier Mechanical Rotating Solutions (MRS), located in Pretoria, has been appointed a service and product supplier of global pumps manufacturer KSB Pumps & Valves.
KSB boasts an annual sales revenue of almost €2.3-billion and has been represented in South Africa since the early 1900s. In 1959, KSB Pumps South Africa, which is headquartered in Johannesburg, was established with the objective to be closer to the customer, thereby increasing value to clients by having strong local sales, operations and service available.

Being appointed to the network of accredited KSB suppliers ensures that MRS has access to the company’s product range and support from KSB’s modern machine shop in Germiston, where it manufactures a large quantity of pumps for local application. MRS will also be granted access to the full KSB pumps and valves original- equipment-manufacturer range manufactured in Germany.

According to MRS CEO Francois Steenkamp, the company is well placed to deliver the best service and product support for the KSB brand to its growing customer base. “MRS has been an active player in the pumps, valves and rotating solutions industry for over a decade and has a proven record of excellent customer service, coupled with the best product fit for our customers’ needs.”

He notes that that KSB is an accredited product supplier and, therefore, adding its product range to MRS’s own offering is of “great significance”, as it will increase the product range available to MRS’s customers and ensure that the company is able to service and supply new KSB products, as well as service existing products currently owned by its customers.
