Company offers linings, ceramic tile distribution for mining
Mining industry products and solutions provider Aviocean Global’s primary objective is to service and supply quality and cost effective products and solutions to the mining industry, with an extra focus on aftermarket service and customer satisfaction.
The company’s offers solutions such as ceramic wear resistant linings, epoxy-based products, cyclones, pulley lagging and pipe repair damage.
The ceramic wear resistant linings comprise ceramic tiles that are made to very specific specifications and maintain a high grade of no less than 92% alumina content. The ceramic tiles are available in various dimensions and thickness.
Meanwhile, the epoxy-based products are available for each specific application. Epoxy tile adhesive, the company says, is available for embedding ceramic tiles or silicon carbide tiles, which ensures bonding onto steel or other underlying surfaces, once the necessary preparation has been attended to.
The company is also involved in the lining of all dense media and classifying cyclones.
Additionally, lagging is often applied to extend the life of the pulley shell by providing a replaceable wearing surface or to improve the friction between the belt and the pulley. Therefore, pulleys, the company says, can be lined with ceramic tiles or epoxy wearing compound as per client specifications and application requirements.
Further, Aviocean’s pipe repair bandage is an extremely convenient and effective product for the emergency repair of less severe leaks in steel, high-density polyethylene and rubber hoses as well as for ventilation ducts and plastic in both underground and surface applications.
The bandage comprises a fibreglass tape impregnated with a resin that hardens in 30 minutes to minimise downtime. It’s a temporary measure that will hold while maintenance is scheduled. The product is resistant to most chemicals, solvents, oils, water and gas, besides its other qualities.
Locally, the company is operational in Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town. In Southern Africa, Aviocean has a footprint in Zambia, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Mozambique, Namibia and Botswana.
