Douglas Davidson will step down from the board of Aim-listed Goldplat at the conclusion of the company’s AGM at the end of the month, but will continue in his role as group COO.

Therefore, no resolution is being proposed to reappoint Davidson at the AGM, which the company will hold, in London, on December 19.

Goldplat says that Davidson stepping down is aimed at ensuring the board has the most appropriate structure for the size and nature of the business and to reflect best practice in corporate governance, including having a majority of nonexecutive directors on the board.

Goldplat has international gold recovery operations located in South Africa and Ghana and services the African and South American mining industry.
