One of the most significant focus areas for the mining and metals industry in the next decade, and into the future, will be the management of carbon emissions, says global engineering, procurement and construction company Fluor.

Fluor process technology director Etienne Bredell discusses the impact of carbon taxes and how the company can offer numerous services and products to support its clients in this regard in a video interview at this year’s Investing in African Mining Indaba.

Fluor has strategically focussed on decarbonisation for several years and has supported its clients across all business lines, adopting a global approach that integrates the methodologies, subject matter experts and technologies to offer the best available solutions to its clients.

Bredell is keen to collaborate with Fluor’s clients to address the challenges of carbon emissions in a manner that will enable them to measure and mitigate the carbon footprint of current, as well as future, operations.
