NYSE- and TSX-listed Fortuna Mining Corporation has announced updated mineral reserves and mineral resources at its Séguéla mine, in Côte d'Ivoire, which now boasts a seven-and-a-half-year mine life.

As of October 31, the mine has proven and probable mineral reserves of 13-million tonnes, containing 1.2-million ounces of gold – an 11% increase year-on-year.

Measured and indicated mineral resource gold ounces, exclusive of mineral reserves, increased by 100%. The project now holds 794 000 oz of gold in indicated resources and 712 000 oz of gold in inferred resources.

“Continued exploration success over the last two years has created a clear pathway to not only extend the life-of-mine (LoM) at Séguéla, but also to evaluate a further plant expansion and a potential increase in annual gold production.”

“Séguéla now boasts a 7.5-year LoM and its largest mineral resource inventory on record. In response, we have launched aggressive infill drilling programmes, advanced underground mining studies and initiated plant expansion evaluations to fully capture the opportunities created by our exploration success," comments Fortuna president and CEO Jorge A Ganoza.

He adds that, with robust exploration programmes under way and continuing into 2026, the company is confident in its ability to unlock further value from its commanding land position at Séguéla.
