Gallum developer Nimny joins WA govt’s US trade mission
Exploration company Nimny Resources MD Luke Hampson will join the upcoming trade mission delegation led by Western Australian Mines and Petroleum Minister David Michael to the US next week.
Hampson will hold discussions with financiers and potential offtake partners in the US over the coming days to discuss opportunities to integrate its Mons gallum project into US supply chains.
“I look forward to establishing relationships and creating opportunities which will help Nimny unlock the immense value of our Mons Gallium Block 3 project and in the process, help meet the huge demand for critical gallium supplies in North America,” said Hampson in a statement ahead of the North American visit.
Mons Gallum Block 3, in Western Australia, hosts a resource containing 740 t of gallum trioxide and 2 890 t of total rare earth oxide.
Michael commented that the US trade mission would seek to strengthen Western Australia’s long-standing relationships with allied partners Canada and the US and support Western Australian companies seeking investment and offtake partners for major critical minerals projects.
“With both Canada and the US working to diversify supply chains, Western Australia is exceptionally well placed to help meet their needs and to deepen collaboration across our shared economic and strategic priorities,” he said.
