With global growth expected to climb significantly in 2022, sensor, networking and control systems manufacturer IFM Electronics says the positive sentiment is evidenced in the “high level of interest” in the automation sector, especially as the Fourth Industrial Revolution (Industry 4.0) continues to gain traction globally.

In advancing this, IFM says it will be driving to get technology to everyone “with a clear focus on developing smart products for everyone”.

“IFM will also drive our world class supply chain by using our logistics as a competitive advantage for our customers. IFM will remain customer-centric by helping our customers to secure and expand competitive advantages and our main focus which is developing a relationship of trust worldwide in close contact with our colleagues, customers and partners,” comments new business sales head Shaun Mackenzie.

He adds that, as always, “IFM will continue bringing new innovative sensors and solutions, such as our Moneo software to the market”.

The Moneo software, with an impending launch, is an Internet-of-Things (IoT) platform that combines the level of operation technology with the level of information technology.

The sensor data generated in the production plants can be read and processed easily and used as a basis for sustainable corporate decisions.

Moneo has a modular structure and consists of a basic software as well as applications, for example, for condition monitoring or for IO-Link sensor parameter setting. This makes it possible to put together a tailor-made software package for every individual requirement, Mackenzie notes.

“For IFM, it is important to understand each customer’s industry, working environment and goals, thus our company philosophy is Close-To-You, so that IFM is our customers’ first choice for innovative automation technology and digitalization,” Mackenzie explains.

He adds that the company prides itself on its high quality and innovative products.

“The quality and innovation do not stop with our products and rolls out, but includes all IFM staff, who deliver high quality and innovation to all customers throughout our partnerships with the customers,” Mackenzie says.

In addition to position and process sensors, sensors for motion control and safety technology are also a part of the IFM product range.

Further, IFM also offers products for industrial imaging and communication as well as identification systems and systems for mobile machines, as well as the company’s very own condition monitoring system called Octavis.

IFM develops innovative Industry 4.0 solutions and corresponding software and cloud products to make existing business processes digitally usable and to offer new, holistic control options for sustainable efficiency and cost optimization.
