As Africa accelerates efforts to close its infrastructure gap, Infrastructure Africa 2026 will convene the continent’s most influential infrastructure stakeholders at the Cape Town International Convention Centre to focus on what matters most: projects, capital, partnerships and implementation.

Taking place alongside the Africa Energy Indaba, Infrastructure Africa brings together policy makers, project owners, financiers, developers, municipalities, DFIs, EPCs and solution providers who are directly involved in planning, funding and delivering Africa’s next generation of infrastructure.

The 2026 programme is designed around the practical challenges and opportunities facing those moving infrastructure projects from pipeline to bankability to execution.

A Programme Focused on Implementation

Across two days, the agenda addresses the core themes shaping infrastructure development across the continent.

Day 1 Plenary Sessions will cover:

  • Infrastructure for AfCFTA success and regional integration
  • Unlocking infrastructure financing through PPPs and innovative funding models
  • Project preparation and making projects investment-ready
  • Energy infrastructure to support industrialisation, grid expansion and reliability

Day 2 Breakaway Panels will explore:

•                     Transport corridors, ports, rail and logistics connectivity

•                     The role of municipalities in urban infrastructure investment

•                     Designing climate-resilient infrastructure

•                     Digital infrastructure, broadband, AI and smart cities

•                     The South African infrastructure pipeline and catalytic projects

•                     Infrastructure required for Africa’s hydrogen economy

•                     Mobilising Sovereign Wealth Funds for infrastructure transformation

•                     Sustainable water infrastructure development

•                     Infrastructure for SEZs, IDZs and industrial growth

Convening the Right Stakeholders

Infrastructure Africa is positioned as a meeting place for those responsible for turning infrastructure plans into funded, executable projects. Attendees include Ministers, African Union representatives, development finance institutions, private infrastructure funds, municipal leaders, developers, legal and advisory experts, and technology providers.

The event creates a platform for engagement between the public and private sectors at a time when infrastructure delivery is central to economic growth, regional integration and industrial development.

Driving Africa’s Infrastructure Future

“Infrastructure Africa is not about theory. It is about enabling the conversations and connections that lead to real projects being financed and implemented,” says Liz Hart, organiser of Infrastructure Africa.

With a strong focus on bankability, partnerships and implementation, the event provides a practical environment for stakeholders seeking to fund projects, position solutions into infrastructure pipelines, engage with government and municipalities, and build cross-sector partnerships.

Infrastructure Africa 2026 takes place on 2–3 March 2026 at the Cape Town International Convention Centre.

Registration to attend, exhibit or sponsor is now open.
