Tell us about your company’s products & services?
Lapp manufactures and supplies a range of highly specialised low-voltage industrial electric cables, connectors and cable accessories. These products are represented by eight strong brands: 1. OLFLEX power and control cables. 2. UNITRONIC data communication systems. 3. ETHERLINE data communication systems for Ethernet technology. 4. HITRONIC optical transmission systems. 5. EPIC industrial connectors. 6. SKINTOP cable glands. 7. SILVYN protective cable conduit systems and cable carrier systems. 8. FLEXIMARK cable marking systems.

Lapp products can be used in process automation, factory automation and everywhere sophisticated equipment is used in any manufacturing process.

With over 1 000 patents, our innovative products are set apart from the pack by their quality and ability to withstand the harshest industrial environments.

On which projects, if any, has the product been used successfully?
Medupe and Kusile, among other power stations; the Sishen independent power producer solar project; the Synnove 4 MW solar project, in Mauritius; Nestle’s Milo plant in Estcourt; the HESS telescope in Namibia; and many others over the years.
Is the product exportable?
Yes, although in our case we mainly export to other Southern African countries as the company is represented in over 100 countries across the globe.
About the company
Lapp Southern Africa was an agency for Lapp Stuttgart for 21 years until the Lapp family purchased the last remaining company shares in June 2015. We are now under new management and a fully fledged part of the Lapp Group.
