With over 60 years of global experience, Manitou remains at the forefront of equipment design, offering telehandlers, forklifts, access platforms, skid steer/track loaders and attachments that improve safety, increase uptime and enhance productivity on your mine, anywhere in Southern Africa.

Manitou Southern Africa (MSA) is now the leading provider of materials-handling solutions for the mining industry, as well as other, industries on the sub continent. A subsidiary of Manitou BF in France, MSA was formally established in 1997 as the sole distributor of Manitou materials-handling equipment in Southern Africa. However, prior to establishing the subsidiary, Manitou was distributed in South Africa by a single dealership for 37 years. In South Africa, the company now has dealerships in Cape Town, Johannesburg, Ballito, Kathu, Port Elizabeth, Rustenburg, Vereeniging and Steelpoort and, for Southern Africa is represented in Botswana, Mozambique, Namibia, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

Manitou rough terrain machinery has carved out a unique and important market as the leading materials-handling solution provider within the Southern African surface and underground mining industries. With high performance levels, improved safety standards and lower operating costs, the Manitou brand delivers recognised service levels that improve profitability throughout the life cycle of your mine. A promise of high service levels, which include the aftermarket and innovations based on customer requirements, is one of the reasons that led to Manitou becoming the dominant mining materials-handling solutions provider in Southern Africa that it is today.
