New site developments announced for Hillhead 2026
This article has been supplied.
An impressive range of showground improvements has been confirmed by the organisers to further enhance the visitor and exhibitor experience at this summer’s Hillhead exhibition. New site developments include:
- The return of a dedicated ‘Red’ exhibitor car park at the east end of the site, which will be larger than ever before. This will allow the redirection of up to 1,400 cars from the main Hillhead Lane entrance, streamlining traffic flow and reducing queues at the show’s peak visiting times.
- A £105,000 upgrade to the Wi-Fi network, with a ring of fibre extended across the site to improve connectivity. This will allow a larger number of free hot spots for visitors and improve bespoke digital solutions for exhibitors.
- A temporary EE/BT mobile phone mast has been secured for the 2026 show, providing an excellent service for users of these networks. Other network users will be able to make Wi-Fi calls from the additional hot spots being provided around the site.
- Following the successful relocation of the Hillhead Café into the Showground Pavilion, an additional coffee lounge will also be added this year, meaning more catering options and outdoor seating for both visitors and exhibitors.
- A major upgrade to the site water system will allow an increased number of toilet units across the site. The upgrade will also facilitate an additional water refill station with visitors able to access free chilled water at the Registration Area, Showground Pavilion, and in the Organiser’s Office. Refillable bottles will be available to purchase but visitors are encouraged to bring their own.
