Sibanye-Stillwater listed on Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE) on February 19 to the sound of the kudu horn and the singing of safety songs by mineworkers. Sibanye delivered a phenomenal return of 260% on the JSE in 2019, stated Dr Leila Fourie (centre), CEO of Africa’s oldest exchange, which is putting forward the newest interchange on inbound dual listings from the rest of Africa, South East Asia and Mauritius; dominance of the surging environmental, social and governance sector; and the potential creation of a ‘crowd-funding-like’ platform for investment in small private companies.
