Gold miner Ramelius Resources has signed a native title mining agreement (NTMA) with the Kakarra Part B Native Title Holders, clearing a key hurdle for the development of the Rebecca-Roe gold project in Western Australia.

The agreement provides a framework for initial development and ongoing operations at the project, about 150 km east of Kalgoorlie, and is expected to deliver both economic and social benefits to the Kakarra Part B community.

With the NTMA executed, Ramelius said it can now accelerate project optimisation work, statutory approvals and early works, which are targeted to begin in early 2026.

Managing director Mark Zeptner thanked the Traditional Owners and negotiation teams for their cooperation. “On behalf of the company’s board, I express our sincere thanks to the Kakarra Part B Native Title Holders leaders and negotiation team who have productively engaged with Ramelius and the efficient and dedicated work of the legal teams from both parties," he said.

Zeptner added that the agreement strengthens the long-term development path for the project. “The completion of this agreement is an important milestone on the road to the successful development of Rebecca-Roe and securing its long-term operational future.”
