Mining, drilling and quarrying equipment must be reliable and robust to minimise downtime, says Finnish hydraulic equipment manufacturer Dynaset.

Dynaset manufactures hydraulic and hydraulic-driven equipment to high-quality European standards. The company’s product line-up comprises hydraulic high-pressure water pumps, drilling fluid pumps, hydraulic generators for welding, hydraulic submersible pumps, hydraulic grinders, hydraulic winches, hydraulic compressors, pressure intensifiers and high-pressure dust suppression systems, among others.

Dynaset claims that its pump technology surpasses any other solution on the market in terms of abrasion durability, ease of use and power-to-size ratio.

Since all Dynaset products are powered by hydraulics, they take their operating power through hydraulics from the machine or vehicle they are installed in. These maintenance-free pieces of equipment are built to last. Every unit is tested at Dynaset’s factory.

Dynaset’s hydraulic high pressure water pumps can be used as a drill rig flushing pump. The small size of the pump makes it easy to fit into the machine, which is a key factor in the design of hydraulic equipment.

Another Dynaset product that is well-suited to mining, drilling and quarrying is Dynaset’s HDF 180 hydraulic drilling fluid pump.

The standard models of HDF hydraulic high pressure drilling fluid pump provide output power of up to 85 kW. The compact size characterises the patented hydraulic equipment. Standard models produce fluid pressure from 580 psi to 2 900 psi and fluid flow from 6.1 gpm to 66.0 gpm.

The pump’s unique structure allows it to operate without any rotating parts, thereby improving the power-to-size ratio. It makes the pump extremely small, reliable and cost-effective to use. Heavy-duty pistons with abrasion-resistant hardening and top-class design allow it to run for thousands of hours. The low-maintenance product is self-lubricated by hydraulic oil. Various types of drilling fluids can be used owing to the high abrasion and chemical resistance of the pump. It works with bentonite and polymer mixes, as well as foaming agents. The pump tolerates up to 25% solid content.

Powerful high-pressure pumps can be used in tunnelling, mining, down-the-hole drilling and other drilling applications. The drilling fluid pumps are used in soil flushing, drill bit jetting, casing lubrication, bore stabilisation and pressurising.

Numerous large-scale heavy equipment manufacturers are also using Dynaset equipment in the field of geo-drilling.
