Aim-listed Rome Resources has appointed Klaus Eckhof as director and nonexecutive chairperson.

"I am delighted to be joining the board at this exciting time for the business. I look forward to using my deep experience and expertise in both the Democratic Republic of Congo and in mineral exploration, including for tin and copper, in particular, as we continue to explore the exciting Bisie North tin project,” says Eckhof.

Rome says Eckhof owns about 439.62-million ordinary shares of 0.1p each in the company.

Additionally, in line with the company's announcement on September 30, Mark Gasson has formally begun his new role as COO.
