South African Mining and Smelting Solutions (SAMSS) is a OEM underground mining service equipment and service company supplying the Southern African and Africa mining market. SAMSS offers expert assistance with all underground trackless machinery.
A subsidiary of multinational forging industry equipment manufacturer Dango and Dienenthal, SAMSS has recently announced the launch of its range of quality trackless, underground mining vehicles.
The vehicles were designed in conjunction with Hencon Siberia in Russia and Hencon BV in The Netherlands and have been tested and sold over four years in Russia.
Hencon vehicles are available with an optional service contract to ensure hassle-free operation in the field. All vehicles are equipped with an on-board monitoring system, giving real-time performance-data availability. In addition, its vehicles are fitted with an on-board camera system and complete hydrostatic drive, which offers a number of key advantages, such as:
- Improved fuel efficiency
- A smoother, more comfortable driving experience
- Effortless traction on incline planes up to 20°
- Minimal brake effort, due to hydrostatic retardation
- Minimal tyre and drivetrain drag, due to rigid axle differentials
