JSE-listed energy and chemicals company Sasol has streamlined the portfolios of the members of its group executive committee, with effect from April 1. This involves changes to important functions and executive responsibilities of the directors.

As previously announced, Simon Baloyi has succeeded Fleetwood Grobler as Sasol president, CEO and executive director.

Hanré Rossouw is CFO and executive director.

Other members of the committee are executive director and commercial and legal executive VP responsible for legal, intellectual property and compliance, assurance, information management, supply chain and company secretarial services Vuyo Kahla; mining, risk and safety, health and environment executive VP Hermann Wenhold; and operations and projects Southern Africa executive VP Victor Bester.

Christian Herrmann serves as marketing and sales energy and chemicals Southern Africa executive VP; Charlotte Mokoena as human resources and corporate affairs executive VP; and Dr Sarushen Pillay as business building, strategy and technology executive VP.

Lastly, chemicals business executive VP Brad Griffith will retire on June 30. He will be succeeded on April 15 by Antje Gerber, who joins Sasol as international chemicals executive VP.
