Strata Logistics is proud to continue its partnership with Retina South Africa, announcing its role as the official goodie bag distribution partner for the 37th Dis-Chem Ride for Sight, taking place on Sunday, 15 February 2026 at Boksburg City Stadium.

Building on its involvement in the 2025 event — where Strata Logistics donated a branded tandem bicycle to support visually impaired para-athletes — the company’s 2026 participation reflects a deeper, operational commitment to the event and its purpose. From Wednesday through to race day Sunday, a fully branded Strata Logistics truck will be on the road across Gauteng, delivering thousands of rider goodie bags to Cycle Lab locations and key event points ahead of race day.

With approximately 4,000 cyclists expected to take part, including elite riders, recreational cyclists, and para-athletes, the behind-the-scenes logistics operation is critical to the success of the event. Strata Logistics will ensure that every rider’s race pack is delivered safely, accurately, and on time, enabling organisers to focus on delivering an inclusive, world-class cycling experience.

“Logistics is often invisible when it’s done right — but it’s essential,” says Deon de Villiers, Managing Member at Strata Logistics. “We’re proud to support Ride for Sight not just with branding, but with real operational delivery. This event stands for inclusion, resilience, and discipline — values that align closely with how we operate every day.”

Strata Logistics’ involvement follows its 2025 donation of a tandem bicycle to Retina South Africa, a contribution that directly supports visually impaired cyclists by enabling them to compete alongside sighted partners. The gesture reinforced Strata’s belief that mobility, independence, and opportunity should be accessible to all — on the road and beyond.

“This partnership goes beyond a single event,” says Linsay Engelbrecht, Head of Special Events and Para Sport Development at Retina South Africa. “Strata understands what it takes to keep things moving under pressure. Their continued support — from the tandem bike donation to now managing critical race logistics — makes a meaningful difference to our athletes and our event.”

The Dis-Chem Ride for Sight is Retina South Africa’s flagship fundraising event, with 100% of proceeds directed toward retinal disease research, patient support, and para-sport development. Uniquely, the race is organised and led by people who are visually impaired themselves, making it one of the most inclusive and purpose-driven sporting events in the country.

In addition to its operational role, members of the Strata Logistics team will also be taking part in the race, joining thousands of cyclists on the road in support of the cause. By cycling in the event themselves, the Strata team is reinforcing its hands-on commitment to Retina South Africa — not only supporting the Ride for Sight behind the scenes through logistics, but standing alongside riders in actively championing inclusion, awareness, and the fight against retinal blindness.

For Strata Logistics, the partnership is a natural extension of its long-standing commitment to responsible business, community engagement, and delivering on promises — whether that means moving freight across South Africa or helping ensure thousands of cyclists arrive at the start line fully prepared.
