Name of the Project
Thaba Joint Venture (JV) project.

Location
Northern part of the western limb of South Africa’s Bushveld Complex.

Project Owner/s
The project is an unincorporated 50:50 JV agreement between Sylvania Platinum’s wholly owned South African subsidiary Sylvania Metals, and Limberg Mining Company, a subsidiary of ChromTech Mining Company.

Project Description
The Thaba JV aims to process chrome tailings from historical dumps and run-of-mine (RoM) chrome ore from the Limberg chrome mine to produce platinum group metals (PGM), and chromite concentrate, expanding Sylvania’s operations and leveraging its expertise in chrome and PGM recovery.

The project will add attributable yearly production of about 6 800 4E (platinum, palladium, rhodium and gold) PGM ounces, and introduce 210 000 t of chromite concentrate to Sylvania’s existing production profile, over a ten-year mine life.

Potential Job Creation
More than 150.

Net Present Value/Internal Rate of Return
The project has an estimated payback of three years.

Capital Expenditure
The project is estimated at $47-million (about R834-million).

Planned Start/End Date
Commissioning has started and is expected to continue ramping up throughout the first quarter of the 2026 financial year, with steady-state production expected in the second quarter.

Latest Developments
All project design work, fabrication and delivery of mechanical items have been completed.

Following the recruitment and onboarding of operational employees in the first half of the 2025 financial year, with most of the personnel deployed to the site from January 2025, employees underwent comprehensive training and induction programmes to ensure that they are fully prepared for the startup and commissioning phases. These efforts are aimed at supporting a successful and productive ramp-up once the plant becomes operational.

Key Contracts, Suppliers and Consultants
Not disclosed.
