Thermo Scientific personal dosimeters from OEN Enterprises
Electronic personal dosimeters (EPDs) that deliver real time radiation monitoring in critical areas of a facility are crucial to the safety and protection of employees.
TruDose EPD
The Thermo Scientific EPD TruDose personal radiation monitors are small enough to be carried inside a pocket, clipped onto an article of clothing or attached to a lanyard.
The simple, sensitive and safe EPD offers uncompromised radiological performance and an improved dose rate range with unprecedented sensitivity to provide accurate measurements.
In addition, the units feature improved pulsed field detection, multi-detector technology, integrated electromagnetic shielding and improved protection from dust and water.
Easy to read-and-react graphic display, configurable, redundant and proactive messaging and simple menu structure all helps to improve user efficiency, while Bluetooth low energy telemetry provides real time protection and allows transmitters to receive data from multiple units.
RadEye PRD4 and PRD-ER4
Also available from OEN Enterprises, the Thermo Scientific RadEye PRD4 and PRD-ER4 personal radiation detectors (PRD) can achieve highly sensitive radiation detection with an 80% reduction in ‘nuisance’ alarms, caused by granite, natural stone and subway tiles, without increasing alarm thresholds or reducing sensitivity.
Using Natural Background Rejection technology, the radiation detectors ignore fluctuations in naturally occurring radiation, or NORM, while analysing the energy imbalance of artificial radiation and identifying discovered material in an easily configurable format. In addition, users can calibrate units in the field, helping to further save time and costs.
The detectors include a number of improved features such as larger, brighter, more visible display, a neutron radiation alert, 30% improved sensitivity and linear high dose rate detector.
The RadEye PRD4 and PRD-ER4 are small and lightweight but also rugged and practical, with a drop resistance to 1.5 m.
The simple, user-friendly design ensures that operators receive accurate and timeous information.
