For 56 years, Thermopower Furnaces has designed and manufactured innovative thermal solutions for a wide range of industries. Thermopower’s products and thermal processing solutions span the ceramic, heat treatment, mineral processing, reductant, biochar and hazmat treatment industries. With design office, factory, and research and development (R&D) facility all located at the same premises, Thermopower offers world class equipment and services on extremely short lead times at globally competitive prices. 

One of Thermopower’s unique offerings is equipment rental. From laboratory equipment to commercial scale production equipment, including ancillaries such as hoppers, conveyors and baghouses. Thermopower has a rental fleet which many clients have utilised over the years for short and medium-term projects, which would not have been financially feasible otherwise.

Thermopower has a dedicated R&D facility where process development work is carried out. Many innovative technologies and processes have been developed for several international bluechip mining houses over the last 30 years. R&D continues to be a major component of the work at Thermopower as more efficient, lower cost technologies are sought for the beneficiation of minerals, both locally and abroad.

The R&D facility caters for bench-scale as well as pilot-scale work, allowing clients to not only test technical feasibility, but also commercial viability. Owing to the engineering, fabrication and R&D facilities all being located on the same premises, Thermopower offers unprecedented agility and responsiveness, with test results informing design modifications that can be executed in days.
