RIO DE JANEIRO - Brazilian miner Vale said on Wednesday it expects to produce between 323-million and 330-million metric tons of iron-ore in 2024, raising a previous forecast of 310-million to 320-million.

The mining giant said last month it was confident about meeting the top end of its guidance.

Vale slightly lowered its forecast for nickel output in 2024 to between 153 000 t and 168 000 t from between 160 000 t and 175 000 t.
