Industrial products manufacturer Crane subsidiary Crane ChemPharma & Energy has expanded its Pacific Wedgeplug valves range to increase the solutions available to customers in the refining, petrochemicals and power generation industries.

“For more than 80 years, Pacific Wedgeplug valves have provided an energy efficient, reliable solution to the industry’s most demanding applications. With the greater range of valve sizes now available, we are able to offer more users the superior performance and reduced cost of ownership delivered by the Pacific Wedgeplug,” Crane ChemPharma & Energy global business line manager Roger Turley says.

Benefits of the Pacific Wedgeplug valve’s unique design include an increased return on investment, easy true amplitude recovery (TAR) servicing and enchanced safety.

Crane explains that, when not actuating, the valve consumes no steam, resulting in industry-leading low steam use and DCU operational savings of more than $150 000 a year.

Further, with in-line decoking and service, the valve body stays in the piping system to deliver a shorter TAR schedule and lower trade costs, and a single valve offers double block-and-bleed capability, reducing upstream and downstream concerns and enabling users to purge and gauge the valve body for increased safety.

The Pacific Wedgeplug valves are now available in sizes ranging from 15 mm to 900 mm.
