Water technology provider opens ECape branch
LOWARA E-NSC PUMP One of the products available at the new Xylem branch in Port Elizabeth
Global water technology provider Xylem earlier this month opened a new facility in Port Elizabeth extending the company’s service offering to its customer base in the Eastern Cape.
This move is in line with Xylem’s commitment to provide world-class pump and water solutions to customers within their areas of operation, and the company states that, with its new base of operations in Port Elizabeth, Xylem is poised to address clients’ needs with a range of superior products.
“We have been active in the Eastern Cape for many years, servicing the area from our branch in Cape Town through a locally based representative,” explains Xylem South Africa sales director Bennie Thiart.
He adds that Xylem decided that a direct approach to the market with full on-site, local representation will benefit existing customers and allow diversification into the Eastern Cape market.
For the official opening, the Xylem team has identified special top-line products that will greatly benefit clients in a variety of sectors.
The newly released Lowara e-NSC high efficiency end-suction pumps range will be available from the branch. This range has been specifically developed for the agricultural and building services markets. In addition, residential offerings of off-the-shelf small booster and submersible pumps will also be available to the public.
For the public utilities market, the Flygt submersible wastewater pumps with sustained efficiency will also be available on site. On top of this, the new branch will have a local rental fleet to help with construction, dewatering and municipality bypass requirements.
Thiart says the Port Elizabeth branch will service the entire Eastern Cape; focusing on Port Elizabeth as metropolis, but also delivering remote services directly or through strategically placed partners.
