WearCheck boasts tech that prohibits mechanical failures
WearCheck National Laboratories Manager: Transformer Oil & Fuel Testing Pierre le Roux speaks to Mining Weekly at Electra Mining Africa.
Condition monitoring specialist company, WearCheck, this year showcases a range of high-tech, scientific evaluation techniques, including a rope condition assessment rig and viewable microscopic debris particle samples, as well as a ‘cabinet of horrors’ featuring typical mechanical failures.
Transformer oil and fuel testing national laboratories manager Pierre le Roux says as a leading condition monitoring specialist on the continent, WearCheck processes more than 800 000 samples a year.
While its core focus is the scientific analysis of used oil, fuel and other fluids, WearCheck offers a range of additional predictive maintenance techniques. These include asset reliability care services, water analysis, transformer chemistry services, and advanced field services, such as non-destructive testing and technical compliance.
Additionally, WearCheck provides Lubrication Enabled Reliability solutions to optimise lubrication systems.
With 16 world-class laboratories across Africa, the Middle East and India, WearCheck serves industries such as mining, power generation, transport, shipping and aviation.
The company is distinguished by its commitment to compliance, holding ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 17025 certifications, making it the only condition monitoring company in Africa with such credentials.
