John Welborn will step down as MD and CEO of Australia-based Equatorial Resources in late November, the company reported on Friday.

Equatorial notes that Welborn will remain in his role as nonexecutive director.

He will also continue to support the board on progressing exploration and development activities at the Nimba Alliance iron-ore project in Guinea, the related green initiatives aimed at net zero greenhouse gas emission solutions for the iron-ore value chain and Equatorial’s ongoing efforts to seek compensation from the Republic of Congo in relation to the Badondo iron-ore proejct.

Equatorial has not appointed a successor and says it will make additional appointments as its activities progress.
